Porbander (100 km). The most famous thing about Porbandar is that Mahatma
Gandhi was born there. Among the sites to see are Kirti Mandir, the
Planetarium, the Porbandar Bird Sanctuary, and Bharat Mandir.
You
will be driven to Dwarka in the evening to see sites such as the Vaishnava
temple known as Dwarakadhisa Temple. The name Jagat Mandir comes from the fact
that Raja Jagat Singh Rathore constructed it. The temple is 12.19 meters above
sea level and faces west. It is said that Krishna constructed his city and
temple at this 2,500-year-old temple site. The current temple, however, dates
to the sixteenth century. In addition to a five-story building supported by 72
pillars, there is a 60-pillar sandstone temple. An enormous flag featuring
images of the sun and moon is raised atop the temple spire, which reaches a
height of 78 meters (256 feet).

the meeting point of the Gomti River and the sea, and the Chakra Narayana
temple, which features a stone with an imprint of a chakra as a manifestation
of Vishnu, are other noteworthy temples in the ghat area. Two kilometers (1.2
miles) from Dwarka is the Rukmini Devi Temple, which honors Rukmini, Krishna's
principal queen. Despite being 2,500 years old, the temple is thought to have been
built in the 12th century. The main image of Rukmini is housed in the interior
of this elaborately carved temple, which is adorned with sculptures of gods and
goddesses on the exterior. Panels at the base of the tower show carved
gajatharas (elephants) and naratharas (human figures).
