In order to understand and put the teachings of the Buddha into practice, you are cordially invited to join the Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour: Walking in the Footsteps of the Buddha, which will take place in India and Nepal, beginning in New Delhi, India. The tour will take you to the original locations associated with the Buddha's life. In addition to optional group meditations and interactive group discussions, you will be able to connect with an international Community of Practitioners and integrate these Teachings into your life practice while traveling with David Roylance, a dedicated Practitioner and Teacher of the Teachings of the Buddha, who will lead you through the original locations of the Buddha related to his lifetime. The goal of this tour and retreat is to help students build a strong foundation for understanding the original locations associated with the Buddha's life as well as the development of his teachings and life. Along the way, you will learn the teachings and practices of Gotama Buddha, often known as the Buddha, to help you go closer to enlightenment, where your mind will be permanently tranquil, quiet, peaceful, and joyful.

Early
in the morning, take a boat ride (at your own Cost) around the Ghats, enjoying
the morning rites and gifts to the first rays of the rising sun. Following
breakfast, visit the Buddhist site at Sarnath. Evening, explore the bustling
shops and see the rituals on the ghats of the holy river Ganges.

Later you will enjoy a tour to the famed Chankamana or the Jewel Walk, Bodhi Tree, Maha Bodhi Temple and the Museum which houses a collection of stone sculptures and other relics. After breakfast drive to Rajgir the vulture Hill, hot spring in Rajgir, world peace Stupa, Bamboo’s Garden. Continue to Nalanda to explore the ruins of world oldest University. Lunch in Nalanda and drive to Patna overnight stay at hotel.
After
breakfast drive to Kushinagar via Vaishali, the capital of Licchavis rulers is
the spot where Buddha preached his last sermon & proclaimed of his
Parinirvana. It was here 2nd Buddhist council held, following 100 years of
Buddha’s death. After lunch proceed to Kushinagar the spot that the Buddha
chose for his Mahaparinirvana, or final exit from this earth. Arrive and check
into your hotel for an overnight stay.
Following breakfast visit Mahaparinirvana temple, then drive to Lumbini the birthplace of Buddha, Lumbini is the Mecca of every Buddhist being one of the four holy locations of Buddhism. On arrival Check into your hotel for an overnight stay.
Morning
after breakfast tour the primary attraction which comprises the holy garden,
The Mayadevi Temple, the Ashoka Pillar and Pushkarni, the holy Pond, Wherein,
Mayadevi is reported to have had taken bath right before giving birth to
Buddha.
Breakfast
at the hotel, then Visit Sravasti, where Buddha spent his 24 monsoons, and
visit Jetvana and Ananda Bodhi Tree. Lunch then drives to Lucknow on arrival

After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to the Agra route to visit Sankasia, where the Lord descended from heaven after giving a sermon to his mother 7 years after her death. After lunch, drive to Agra on arrival & transfer to the hotel; after lunch at the hotel, visit the world-famous Taj Mahal (it’s closed every Friday) built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his Empress Mumtaj Mahal. The building was reported to have taken 22 years to complete, with over 20,000 craftsmen working around the clock. After sightseeing the Taj Mahal, visit the majestic Agra Fort erected on the bank of the Yamuna River. It is situated in the middle of the town, and the evening is free for shopping /own activities.
