Check-out
post a satisfactory breakfast. Drive to Corbett National Park. This is a 275 km
journey and will take you approximately 05-06 hours on the road. On reaching
Corbett, you will be met by our representatives, the guide and drive. They will
help transfer your luggage to a safari jeep. This jeep will take you to the
Dhikala Forest Lodge (approximately 32 km from the gate). Check-in and eat
lunch, post which you proceed for a safari in the Dhikala Zone. Return at
sunset. Dinner and overnight stay at the Forest Rest House.
Jim
Corbett, a British hunter, tracker, conservationist author and a naturalist. He
was often called by the Government to kill the man-eating Tigers in the United
Provinces. It was during these sojourns that he transformed. His books are a
must-read for any nature lover. Just the simple transformation from “shooting a
Tiger with the rifle” to “shooting a Tiger with a camera” has been so
beautifully explained. His journey as a conservationist and why he chose
wildlife conservation over wildlife hunting is extremely inspiring. To honor
his well-doing, the Government of India renamed The Ramganga National Park to
Corbett National Park.
Corbett,
like all other National Parks in the country, has different zones and gates.
Each one is more beautiful than the other. However, the most cinematic of them
all (and call us biased if you wish), is the Dhikala zone. There are a few
forest rest houses, quite simply curated with the most basic amenities in this
zone. The location is breathtaking beyond imagination (and no, we aren’t
exaggerating). Imagine sleeping amidst the thick forests and waking up to fresh
Tiger pug marks outside your cottage. The thrill is unparalleled. However,
apart from Dhikala, the Gairal, Malani, Sultan, Khinanauli and Sarpaduli zones
are equally beautiful and picturesque. All of them have a unique charm and are
awe-inspiring. While the Ramganga River adds beauty to the landscape, the
Shivaliks add grandeur to the zones.

Corbett National Park is a part of the Terai Arc Landscape. The Tigers of Terai
are known to be shy and usually leave the track pretty soon on being noticed.
But in the last few years, the trend seems to be changing. Tigers are becoming
more accustomed and have started to show up often. Every spot in Corbett, every
track, and every backdrop is photogenic. And if you get your preferred mammal
on the track, be it the Tiger, or the Elephant, the happiness is immense.
It
is not only the mammals that make this park a must-visit but close to 535
species of birds make Corbett a real special park. Take the early morning and evening
safaris on both the days. Meals and overnight at the Lodge.
Check-out after early morning breakfast. Take the 310 km drive to Agra. This should take you about 06 hours. Arrive in Agra by late afternoon. Take the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Agra.
The next morning, visit the Taj Mahal, the magnificent monument which is considered to be one of the seven wonders of the world. Built-in the mid-1700s, it was conceived by the Mughal emperor Shah Jehan as a monument of love for his wife Mumtaz. Over 20,000 labourers from various parts of the world pooled their skill to create this magnificent mausoleum that has been immortalized in white Makrana marble and embellished with onyx, amethyst, lapis lazuli, turquoise, jade, crystal and several other semi-precious stones that were brought from as far as Tibet, China and the Indian Ocean. After lunch, proceed to Ranthambore. Check-in at your safari lodge. Post lunch, head for an afternoon safari.
On
both dates, take the morning and evening safaris to the Park. The entire park
is divided into 10 different zones, with good Tiger and wildlife populations in
almost all zones. Ranthambore was amongst the first National Parks where
Project Tiger was started. It has witnessed a varying Tiger population for the
last century however, the past decade has been a steady ride for Ranthambore.
So much so that it was able to donate a few Tigers to Sariska National Park,
which was bereft of Tigers due to poaching activities.
The
entire credit behind Ranthambore’s success and a thriving Tiger population goes
to the dedicated Forest Department, and tourism. Ranthambore Tiger Reserve in
the Indian State of Rajasthan comprises distinct areas with varied conservation
history and virtually separated geographically, with mere narrow corridors
linking them to the core, Ranthambore National Park. These are mainly
Ranthambore national Park, Keladevi Sanctuary and Sawai Mansingh Sanctuary.
Ranthambore
is a photographer’s paradise and a great attraction on the India golden
triangle tour & tiger safari. With different kinds of lighting, angles,
backdrop and any frame that you want, Ranthambore is picturesque in its own
special way. The Park is also rich in avifauna, with around 300 species of
birds. In fact for a keen bird watcher, Ranthambore and the surrounding area is
a paradise. Some key species include: Large Cormorant, Painted Spurfowl, Sarus
Crane, bronzed winged Jacana, Sandpiper, Kingfisher, Nightjar, painted
Sandgrouse, Great Horned Owl and many more regular winter migrants which come
from their nesting ground north of the Himalayas to Ranthambore and surrounding
areas. With an area of 400 sq. km,
Ranthambore encompasses rocky hill crests which descend to open valleys between
the Aravali and Vindhya ranges, dotted with water pools and fruit trees, this
park gets its name from the thousand-year-old fortress, which looms above the
forest. Well known for the diurnal activity of Tigers, Ranthambore is a very
special and unusual area where a natural present meets a historical past.
Sambar, Cheetal, Chinkara, Nilgai and Languor. The elusive Leopard and Tigers
are found in this reserve with tourists standing a very good chance of seeing
tigers during the safaris. Dotted across the landscape are the crumbling ruins
of its past glory, be it chatris or cupolas, like palaces or old guard posts,
all of which reinforce the magical and ethereal quality of this great
wilderness.
Check out after an early breakfast, post which you drive to Jaipur. A journey
of 180 km will be covered in about 03 hours. Upon arrival, check-into your
hotel. Eat a hearty lunch, post which you visit the highlights of Jaipur
(Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, City Palace and the Museum). This city is also
known for its shopping. From precious stones to handicrafts, the culture looks
richer than usual when you stroll through the ‘Jaipuri Bazaar’.
After breakfast, check out from the Hotel. Visit the Amer Fort, the former residence of Rajput Maharajas and their families. It is an opulent palace laid out in four levels. It is a hill fort and a World Heritage site too. Subsequently, drive for 275 km in about 05-06 hours, to arrive at New Delhi, the capital of India.
Check
out of the Hotel in Delhi. Transfer to the Domestic Terminal of the New Delhi
Airport, to catch an internal flight from New Delhi to Nagpur. On arrival at
Nagpur, you will be met by our representative, who will also drive you to Pench
National Park from the Airport. This is a 100 km drive and should take
approximately 2 hours. On arrival, check-in at your Lodge. Proceed for an
afternoon safari post-lunch. Return to the Lodge at sunset. Dinner and
overnight at the Lodge.
Take
the morning and afternoon safaris to the Park on both days. Meals and overnight
at the Lodge on both the days. Pench is one of the most beautiful parks in
Central India and evokes a tremendous feeling of tranquility. It forms a Tiger
corridor with Kanha and has a healthy population of felines. It’s also home to
quite a few leopards and has an enormous diversity of birdlife. The park is
split by the River Pench into two distinct zones – east and west. Dusk is a
terrific time to see the forest come into its nocturnal being as Pench has
several night birds and animals that are out on the prowl after dark.
Take
an early morning. Return for breakfast to the lodge and get some rest. Post
lunch, proceed for Kanha National Park. Located at a distance of 210 km from
Pench, this drive will take you about 04-05 hours on the road. On arrival,
transfer directly to the safari lodge at Kanha. Take the rest of the day at
leisure or you could even interact with the locals/tribals and go to their
village.
On
both days, take the early morning and evening safaris to Kanha National Park.
The home ground for Kipling’s epic story, The Jungle Book, it’s one of the most
famous spots on the golden triangle tour with tiger safari. Kanha is one of
India’s largest and most beautiful parks and is rife with wildlife. It is one
of the best places to see the Tiger as well as several other species of flora
and fauna. Kanha is full of water-bodies, which garner a large bird population
– both resident and migratory. It is a stunning landscape with dense foliage
opening out onto grassy meadows. Breakfast is served to you in the park, on the
bonnet of your jeep!
Return from the morning safari and freshen up. Post a relaxed lunch, proceed
for an afternoon safari into the wilderness of Kanha National Park.
After an early morning safari, return to the lodge. Eat an early lunch and checkout, post which you will commence the 06-hour drive to Bandhavgarh National Park. Arrive at Bandhavgarh sometime early evening. Check-in at your Safari Lodge and take the rest of the day at leisure.
Enjoy early morning and afternoon safaris on both days, at Bandhavgarh National Park. Bandhavgarh is one of the most beautiful parks in Central India and has deep historical roots. The park is named for the fortress that towers over the jungle. Enjoy an adventurous ride through the park and return to your lodge in the late morning. The park is known for its incredible tiger density and it is unusual not to spot these felines among its thick Sal and Bamboo groves. Bandhavgarh is not only prime tiger terrain but is also a natural habitat for another big cat, the leopard. These elusive creatures are spotted among the thick foliage in the treetops, along with several species of birds – both exotic and native. The park has a healthy population of wild boars, sloth bears, porcupines, foxes, primates and several other animals as well.
Wake
up early to take the morning safari at Bandhavgarh. Return to the lodge in time
for breakfast and check-out. A chauffeur-driven car will be provided for you to
drive from Bandhavgarh National Park to Jabalpur Airport. This will be a 220 km
drive and will take you about 04 hours on the road.
Board
your flight from Jabalpur to New Delhi. Upon arrival at the Domestic Terminal
in New Delhi, you will be met by our representative at the Airport. He will
help you check-in at the Hotel in Delhi.
Post
an early breakfast, transfer to the International Terminal of the New Delhi
Airport to board your onward flight home.
