Located in the northeastern region of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, the Spiti Valley is a Himalayan desert mountain valley with an average elevation of 13,000 feet. Spiti Valley is a mysterious region that is sometimes thought of as a piece of Tibet stuck in India. Its jagged moonscape is dotted with small villages and tranquil monasteries perched on rocky crags. Amid barley fields and rocky slopes, the dispersed communities are made up of whitewashed mud-brick houses.

  • DAY 1: DELHI

Take a plane to Delhi. Welcome to Delhi's mayhem. You can't ignore it, whether you like it or not. It serves as both India's capital and the starting point for travel throughout North India. Delhi, India's largest metropolis, is regarded as the city with a heart. The city's significance stems from its former splendour as the location of empires, stunning structures, and a wide variety of civilisations.

You will be picked up from Delhi Airport and driven to the hotel in a private vehicle. Check in and unwind. Overcome your jet lag. You will have the evening to yourself.

The hotel in Delhi is where you will spend the night.

  • DAY 2 : CHANDIGARH

After breakfast, leave the hotel and go to Chandigarh, often known as "The City Beautiful." This is India's first planned city, which is very different from the rest of the nation and much more well-organised. Additionally, it is among India's cleanest cities. With the mountains in the background, the city's most remarkable feature is the vast expanse of azure sky.

Arrive in the afternoon in Chandigarh. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Visit the well-known Rock Garden in the late afternoon. It is a sculpture garden that Officer Nek Chand constructed all by himself in his free time in 1957. It has long served as the city's emblem of creativity and originality. This huge 40-acre garden shows sculptures constructed from urban and industrial garbage.

Later, travel to the stunning Sukhna Lake, which is located in the Shivalik range's foothills. You can take in the beauty of nature and the refreshing breeze here. At the lake, you could take a pedal boat ride.

The hotel in Chandigarh is where you will spend the night.

  • DAY 3: MANALI

After breakfast, depart the hotel and go to Manali, which is situated in the Beas River Valley at 2,050 meters (6,726 feet). Manali, one of India's most visited hill stations, lies tucked away between the snow-capped Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar mountain ranges. Manali has been endowed with breathtaking scenery, including expansive meadows, meandering rivers, lush green woods, jaw-dropping panoramas, and a lingering scent of freshness and pines.

Although the trip will take seven or eight hours, the drive over the Himalayas will be breathtaking. You will feel more energised and thrilled as you approach Manali. The road you'll be travelling on will go beside the winding Beas River. There will be numerous farms and apple orchards along the route. Arrive in Manali by nightfall. When you arrive at the hotel, check in and unwind. You will have the evening to yourself.

We'll have dinner and spend the night at the hotel in Manali.

  • DAY 4: MANALI

Following a satisfying breakfast, we started our exploration of Manali. Begin by going to Vasshisht. This charming town is well-known for its sulphurous hot springs and the nearby temple dedicated to Vashisht. This spring's water is thought to have strong therapeutic properties that can treat a variety of illnesses and skin conditions.

Next, head to the "HADIMBA TEMPLE," which was constructed in 1553 and features an exquisitely designed four-tiered pagoda roof. It is well-known for both the jungle park where the temple was constructed and its beautifully carved gateway. And then go to Old Manali. Even though this charming little village is fairly close to Manali, the main town, you feel as though you have travelled to a different planet. There is an odd mix of Indians and foreigners in this hippie land. Old Manali has the appearance of something from a vintage film. You sense spiritual energy all around you, maybe due to the fresh air or water.

Visit the town's centre, Mall Road, later in the evening. Numerous hotels, eateries, and bars line this bustling business district, which also has a large number of stores and emporiums. You may hang out and buy souvenirs and local handicrafts here.

  • DAY 5: CHANDRA TAL

You will depart for Chandratal via the Atal Tunnel, Chatru, and Batal after checking out of the accommodation early in the morning (about 6:00 am). The trip will take six to seven hours. Along the route, you will see snow peaks, tiny wildflowers, sheep and horses grazing in the verdant plains, and many stunning waterfalls. You will see and feel the magnificence all around you as the scenery shifts from verdant highlands to arid, snow-covered stony ranges.

You'll stop briefly for lunch at Chatru. At Batal, the sky seems clear blue and the breeze becomes chilly. At Batal, you will take a short break for tea at the famed Chacha Chachi dhaba (local roadside restaurant). Arrive in Chandratal by dusk, then check into the campgrounds. You will have the evening to yourself. Relax in your campers or take a stroll around the gorgeous lake.

The camps will provide dinner and an overnight stay with a breathtaking view of the Chandrabagha mountain and the night sky.

  • DAY 6: KAZA

Get up early to witness the most spectacular dawn of your life. The arid mountains in Chandratal have a silvery sheen due to the silica. From the campsite, the vista is breathtaking. Trek to Chandratal Lake; the walk will be moderate and take around an hour. Admire the lake's shifting hues while relaxing on the shore. Every moment will be beautiful to you. Hundreds of varieties of wildflowers cover the lake's shores. According to folklore, fairies descended from the sky at this location.

Go back to the camps, eat breakfast, and then depart. After that, you will travel to Kaza, passing over Kunzumla Pass, the highest point in the area at 14,928 feet (4550 meters), which provides breathtaking views. The most important settlement you will come across in this barren region of the world is Kaza, the capital of Spiti, which is located roughly 77 kilometres from Chandratal on the eroded flood plain of the Spiti River.

Arrive in Kaza in the evening, then check into the hotel. You will have the evening to yourself. We'll have dinner and spend the night at the Kaza hotel.

  • DAY 7 : TABO

After breakfast, leave Kaza and cross Dhankar on your way to Tabo. Welcome to the home of the renowned Buddhist monastery known as "Tabo Monastery," which was established in 996 A.D. and is supposedly over a thousand years old. This area is arid and bleak, resembling a moonscape devoid of any vegetation. Since then, the Archaeological Survey of India has designated it as a protected monument, making it the biggest monastery complex in Spiti.

Check in at the hotel when you arrive. You have the evening to yourself. The monks meditate in the caverns behind the monastery, which you can visit. Fading artwork on the rock face and an assembly hall are further features of the caves.Dinner & overnight stay will be at the hotel in Tabo.

  • DAY 8 : TABO

Proceed to the Gue Village tour after breakfast. At a height of about 3000 meters, Gue Village is a tiny, impolite village. It contains the only known naturally preserved mummy in India. According to certain reports, the mummy belongs to the monk Sangha Tenzin. The mummy is estimated to be between 500 and 600 years old based on carbon dating.

Visit the 996 CE-founded Tabo monastery in the evening. It is renowned for being the oldest Buddhist enclave in India and the Himalayas to still be in operation. It is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Nearly every wall is covered with numerous priceless collections of frescoes, huge murals, manuscripts, well-preserved statues, and Thankas (scroll paintings). These ancient paintings, created in the Tibetan style by Kashmiri painters, show the life cycle of the Buddha and stories from the Jataka Tales. Another name for it is the Himalayan Ajanta.

Dinner & overnight stay will be at the hotel in Tabo.

  • DAY 9 : LANGZA

The extensive fossil deposits of marine plants and animals in Langza are well known. Spiti lay beneath the Tethys Sea millions of years ago.
