The Ladakh region in the upper Himalayas is one of the few places in India where you can experience an adrenaline rush. You will pass through some of the most stunning and popular tourist destinations in the Himalayas on this daring journey, including Leh, Pangong Lake, and Nubra Valley. One of the world's most inaccessible locations will be reached by way of one of the world's highest highways. Your adrenaline will be sufficiently raised by the actual road trip. There are bare rocks and cliffs that stand straight on one side of the road, and a deep, steep valley with a swift, turbulent river at its bottom on the other. You can expect a thrilling trip that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The Himalayas' breathtaking splendor is just unmatched. It promises to captivate people seeking an unusual experience and an adrenaline rush. From nature and breathtaking scenery to the humble cultures it supports, Ladakh is enchanting in every way. The abundance of places to see, from historic monasteries to the amazing momos (dumplings), makes this place a veritable paradise. The Indian state of Ladakh's Sham Valley trip. Also referred to as the "Baby Trek," it's the ideal short trek in Ladakh. It would be unfortunate to miss the Taj Mahal while visiting India. One of India's most visited tourist attractions, Agra is situated in Uttar Pradesh on the banks of the Yamuna River and is home to the Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world. It provides excellent insight into the Mughal empire's architectural legacy and history. One of the most exquisite structures in the world, the Taj Mahal was built in the 17th century using only white marble.

  • DAY 1: DELHI ARRIVAL

    Greetings from the lovely mayhem of Delhi! Arrive by flight and jump in immediately into the hustle and bustle of the capital of India and its second-most populated city. Delhi, one of the world's oldest cities, is significant for several reasons, including its cultural diversity and the fact that it was once the capital of several empires and home to many impressive structures.

    A private car with a driver will welcome you at the airport and transport you to the hotel for check-in, after refreshed head out for Delhi sightseeing. Kick things off with a drive-by Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President of India. Then, stop at India Gate, a memorial to the 82,000 Indian troops who lost their lives between 1914 and 21 in World War I.

    The hotel in Delhi will be our home for the night.

  • DAY 2 : AGRA

    After Breakfast, check out from the hotel & head towards Agra. Welcome to the city of Wonder… since it's the home of the Taj Mahal - one of the world's seven wonders. Pictures of the Taj Mahal don't do complete justice to its beauty. It's an epitome and emblem of love. You got to be here to feel your mouths drop. Agra used to be the ancient capital of the Mughal Empire.

    Reach Agra by afternoon. Have lunch at a nice restaurant. Check in at the hotel and freshen yourself. In the late afternoon tour, Agra Fort, a historical fort, remained the main seat of the Mughal rulers till 1638. Walking through courtyard after courtyard of this sumptuous red-sandstone and marble stronghold, your awe keeps building as you hear about the history of this fort from the guide. In the evening visit the local market to discover the actual flavour of Agra city.

    Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Agra.

  • DAY 3: DELHI

    Early in the morning, visit the Taj Mahal (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) erected by Shah Jahan in 1632 in memory of his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains.

    After Breakfast, check out from the hotel & head straight towards Delhi. Reach Delhi by afternoon. Check-in at the hotel and relax.

  • DAY 4: LEH

    In the morning, board your aircraft from Delhi to Leh.

    Welcome to Leh! Few places in India are so traveler-friendly yet captivating and hassle-free as mountain-framed Leh. Dotted with stupas and crumbling mudbrick homes, the old town is dominated by a dagger of high rocky ridge capped by an enormous Tibetan-style palace and fort.

    The private automobile will pick you up from Leh Airport and take you to the accommodation. Check-in at the hotel. The entire day will be at your pleasure. Leh town is situated at more than 3000 meters above sea level. Relax and adjust to the high altitude of Leh.

    Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel in Leh.

  • DAY 5: LEH

    After Breakfast, head off for local sightseeing. Visit Leh Palace, which was built in the 17th century. The rooftop of the palace affords beautiful views of the mountains of Stok Kangri and the Ladakh mountain range.

    Then, visit Shey Palace & Monastery, which was established in 1665 by the King of Ladakh (Deldon Namgyal) as his summer getaway residence. The Gompa is noted for its gigantic copper-gold gilded statue of a seated Shakyamuni Buddha. This statue is reckoned to be the second-largest Buddha statue in Ladakh. Afterward, explore Thiksey Monastery, one of the best specimens of Ladakhi architecture. This Monastery is located on the top of the hill in seclusion, which lies 20 kilometers away from Leh. It is extremely notable for its similarities with the Potala Palace in Lhasa. This Monastery is recognized for pilgrim activities, architectural components, sightseeing, and exploration.

    Reach back at the hotel by sunset. Dinner & overnight stay will be at the hotel in Leh.

  • DAY 6: LEH

    After Breakfast, travel off for local sightseeing in Leh. Start with a visit to the Hall of Fame, a museum established by the Indian Army in remembrance of the courageous Indian warriors who laid down their lives defending the nation in the Indo-Pak conflicts. It serves as a reminder of the immense sacrifices made by our military to ensure the safety and security of our country.

    Then, visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a majestic Sikh Temple established in 1517 to commemorate the visit to the Ladakh region of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder Guru of the Sikh faith. Then stop at Magnetic Hill, a "Cyclops hill" or Gravity Hill near Leh. The architecture of the location and adjacent slopes create an excellent visual illusion. The hill road is a downhill road. Objects and cars on the hill road may appear to slide uphill in defiance of gravity when sliding downward. After that, visit Sangam (the confluence of the Zanskar & Indus rivers), which is a scenic sight. You may try daring rafting on the river.

    Afterwards, explore Alchi Monastery, built between 958 and 1055 CE. The creative and spiritual details of both Buddhism and the Hindu kings of that time in Kashmir are portrayed in the wall murals in the monastery complex. The building also features gigantic sculptures of the Buddha and exquisite wood carvings and artwork – nearly baroque in style.

    Return to Leh by dusk and visit Shanti Stupa, a Buddhist white-domed stupa on a mountaintop in Chanspa. It was created in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu Gyomyo Nakamura and was part of the Peace Pagoda project.

  • DAY 7 : SHAM VALLEY/SHAM TREK

    Early in the morning, after eating Breakfast, check out of the motel. A private car will take you up from the hotel and drop you at Likir village. From there, you will start your trekking, which will take roughly 4-5 hours. The trekking path begins at the edge of Likir village, descending down, over a creek, and back uphill. From there, you'll need to veer right and walk out of the hamlet. After that, the trail is pretty clear, occasionally running close to a road. It could appear as though the path splits at times, not to fear; the separate paths will eventually rejoin.

    Trekking from Likir to Yangthang should take roughly 4 to 5 hours. Reach Yangthang by early evening. Check in at a homestay and relax.

    Dinner & overnight stay will be at the guesthouse in Yangthang.

  • DAY 8 : SHAM VALLEY/SHAM TREK

    Early in the morning, after having Breakfast, check out from the homestay & set out for hiking to Hemis Shukpachan. Today'sToday's hike is a brief uphill trek. You'll be gradually weaving your way up to Tsermanchang La pass (3750 m). Once you reach the top of the pass, it's all downhill sailing into the lovely greenery of Hemis Shukpachan town.

    Reach Hemis Shukpachan by late afternoon. Check in to homestay and relax.

    Dinner & overnight stay will be at the homestay in Hemis Shukpachan.

  • DAY 9 : NUBRA VALLEY

    After Breakfast, drive from Hemis Shukpachan to Leh and go towards Nubra Valley via Khardung-La Pass (18380ft) — one of the world's highest motorable highways. The valley is located roughly 159 km from Leh. The route will be Leh – Phyang – Khardung La – Khardung – Khalsar – Diskit – Nubra Valley.

    Along the way before and after Khardungla Pass, you will pass past 2 Indian Army check-posts, namely – South Pullu & North Pullu, which are highly scenic spots that flaunt the grandeur of nature. On the trip, you will pass by some picturesque villages, where you can get glimpses of inhabitants working on their farms.

    Reach Nubra Valley by early evening. This valley is a virgin location for tourists who seek peace and engagement with the indigenous inhabitants of Ladakh. The Sasser Pass and the legendary Karakoram Pass of the Silk Route fame are northwest of the valley and connect Nubra with Xinjiang (China).

    Check-in at the hotel on arrival. Dinner & overnight stay will be at the hotel in Nubra Valley.

  • DAY 10: NUBRA VALLEY

    After Breakfast, head out to explore Nubra Valley. Visit Diskit Monastery, the largest and the oldest surviving Monastery in Nubra Valley. The major feature of the Diskit monastery is 100 the 100-foot-high Maitreya Buddha statue, which the holy Dalai Lama unveiled.

    After that, visit the Hunder dunes. Beyond Ladakh's cultural and religious side, there are stunning silver dunes of Hunder in the Nubra Valley. Located at 4,000 meters, Hunder Sand Dunes are gorgeous beyond belief. A serene meandering brook and the gorgeous scenery cut across the desert. With such awe-inspiring scenery against the backdrop of the snow-clad mountains, the Hunder Sand Dune resembles nothing less than a dreamland. Try a ride over the unusual Bactrian Camel (double-humped camel), which should not be missed.

    Then, explore Panamic Hot Springs. The hot spring water contains large quantities of sulfur and is believed to offer various therapeutic benefits.

    Reach back at the hotel by sunset. Dinner & overnight stay will be at the hotel in Nubra Valley.

  • DAY 11: PANGONG LAKE

    After Breakfast, drive from Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake. This endorheic Himalayan Lake lies at a height of roughly 4,350 m (14,270 ft). It is 134 km (83 mi) long and runs from India to China.

    Reach Pangong Lake by late afternoon. Check-in at the camps/cottages, which offer amazing vistas of the surrounding mountain ranges and a wonderful perspective of Pangong Lake. Its water is salty, very clear, and has a wonderful tint of blue. It looks its best when the sun is shining bright. The evening will be at your leisure. You can wander the shoreline of the lake or indulge in a Yak safari.

    Dinner & night stay will be at the camps/cottages near Pangong Lake.

  • DAY 12: LEH

    After Breakfast, drive from Pangong Lake to Leh. On the route, visit Hemis Monastery, recognised as the largest monastic institution in Ladakh. It is the wealthiest Buddhist Monastery in India and is notable for its vast collection of historical artifacts, including the figure of Buddha made of copper and stupas made of gold and silver. The Monastery also has religious Thangkas, paintings, and many antiquities.

    Reach Leh in the evening and check-in at the hotel. The evening will be at your leisure.

    Dinner & overnight stay will be at the hotel in Leh.

  • DAY 13: DELHI

    After Breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to Leh Airport. Take your flight to Delhi.

    A private automobile will pick you up from Delhi Airport and transport you to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel and relax.

    The hotel in Delhi will be our home for the night.

  • DAY 14: DELHI

    After Breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to Delhi Airport.
